CHRISTIAN EDUCATION ANNOUNCEMENTS
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
That was the name of one of our songs for Vacation Bible School. And that describes God’s love for us, that we are privileged to share with others. During the past 2 months, and looking forward to August, we as a church family have sent out these ambassadors in Jesus’ name to share His love:
• 6 junior high and senior high youth with 2 adults learning about homelessness at “A Work Of Love” Mission Retreat in downtown Chicago;
• 12 high school youth with 6 adults helping to make homes warmer, safer, and drier with “Appalachia Service Project” in Clinchco, Virginia;
• 2 high school youth with 1 adult (and 5,000 other young Presbyterians!) learning about God’s calling “For Such A Time As This” at the
Presbyterian Youth Triennium at Purdue University in Indiana;
• 16 children and youth with 8 adults “Celebrating Creation Again!” at Presbyterian Camps in Saugatuck, Michigan.
Thank you for your prayers and your financial support!

Rally Day: Sunday, August 29
Our theme for Rally Day is from John 8:12: Jesus said, "I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." We have Sunday School classes for all ages: Grades PreK-2; Grades 3-5; Grades 6-8; and Grades 9-12. Please join us on Rally Day for special treats and craft projects, followed by the all-church-family picnic!
