OUR JOURNEY OF FAITH… Our new History Room captures where the Presbyterian Church of Orland Park got its start and highlights our first 40 years as a congregation. But our journey continues and I need your assistance in making sure that we preserve the people and ministry of PCOP for future generations. The History

Room is in progress, please let me know any suggestions that you have. Please share pictures – past or present – that I might include in the room to help tell our story.

LITTLE FREE LIBRARY  Our Little Free Library is up and is located in the southeast corner of our parking lot (by the mailbox). Please check it out! This is an outreach  to our community. "Take a book. Return a book."

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A UNIQUE WAY… To honor a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion in your life – or perhaps to remember a loved one?  We have a suggestion – sign up to bring flowers for the chancel during the Sunday service or we have a new option for our adults – be the candle lighters for that particular Sunday service to honor or remember your loved ones.  Be an integral part of the worship service.  See Margaret Bertucci with any questions.

BOARD OF DEACONS – Establishes a Ride-Share Program

In the interest of assuring that everyone who wants to come to Church on Sunday can, the Deacons are setting up a Ride-Share Program.  If you should have either a temporary or permanent restriction to your ability to drive, please contact the church office at 708/448-8142.  The Board of Deacons, PCOP

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP WITH RECORDING SUNDAY SERVICE:  We are looking for some volunteers to either videotape and/or audio record the Sunday services.  We have the equipment, will provide   training (it’s easy), and it is NOT an every Sunday commitment.  Please see Pastor Scott for more information.

GREETING CARD SUPPLY:   Our Deacons have so kindly provided a selection of greeting cards for our church family to purchase.  The location of the greeting cards now has a new permanent home – in the cabinet in the library (with the lamp on top) between the two chairs has a big selection of card.  Please look in each drawer for what you need.  $1.00 for each card which includes the card, envelope and stamp!  Thank you!

We welcome the addition of flowers to help beautify our sanctuary for Sunday morning worship.  Flowers can be brought from your garden or purchased.  Arrangements and vase should be large enough to be visible from the seating area.  Before the worship service, please place the arrangement on the white flower table.  After the service, please remove the arrangement and take it home for your enjoyment, or if you wish, deliver it to a shut-in as a gesture of caring.   A sign-up sheet for Flowers for Sunday Worship is located in the narthex next to the literature rack.  Thank you so much!

WELCOME TO THE MEN’S BREAKFAST! All are invited to drop in and join the conversation. The group meets at 7:00 a.m. at The Original Pancake House, 15256 S. LaGrange Road, Orland Park.

THANK YOU FOR REMEMBERING JONES CENTER A part of our mission focus at PCOP is to help Jones Center. The first Sunday of the month is “Feed My Lambs” Sunday. Please keep the list handy for your use, any items you can donate and bring to church are greatly appreciated.

WHENEVER YOU DO THIS TO ONE OF THESE...... Have you ever attended a party where the only person you knew was the Host? Do you feel a bit left out wishing you had someone to talk to? Almost every Sunday we have at least one visitor in church and it's possible that they too only know the Host -- Jesus! Extending a welcoming hand and introducing ourselves is part of our response to the Gospel message. If you see one person or a couple standing alone during coffee hour, please take a moment to welcome them to the church.

SOUND ENHANCEMENT SYSTEM: For those who may have difficulty hearing during the service, we have a wireless received that is connected to the PA system. The system operates with a small ear phone and a pocket size received. If you would like to try this system, the hearing devices are located on a rack on the back wall of the sanctuary or please see an Usher. Also available every Sunday from the Ushers are copies of our bulletin and hymns in enlarged print.
